In march: the pupils spent 2 days in London.
December the 18t : outing in Saumur
Visit of the Armored Combat Vehicles Museum, traditionnal restaurant, walk downtown.
There is a specific programme of outings on offer for different year groups.
Here are some examples of frequent outings organised by the school:
- The Grand Parc du Puy du Fou in Vendée
- The Theatre in Angers - Seaside outings in Loire Atlantique (Guérande, St Nazaire, La Baule) - The Châteaux de la Loire
- The cities of Tours, Rennes and St Malo
- The Mont St Michel
During the 2007/2008 academic year, the 11-14 visited Tours alongside the Château d’Ussé. As for the 15-18, they went on a guided tour of Nantes and the Chantiers de l’Atlantique in St Nazaire.
We have opened since September 2007 a pupils’ common room with plenty of new fittings.
It is opened twice a day and provides a relaxing location to watch TV, read or wind down with a hot drink. There is also a football table.
The tuck shop enables the children to buy soft and hot drinks, in addition to fruit and snacks. Sweets can only be purchased after lunch.
• The IT Room has been relocated in the heart of the school and newly refurbished. There are some workstations connected to the internet. The room is open daily to allow the pupils to read their e-mails and do some researching. It is also used during the IT and Mathematics lessons as well as for the TPE (Travaux Personnels Encadrés), a compulsory national subject in L6 based on research work.
• The college library supports all areas of the curriculum and provides a place for everyone to read or study independently. Most of the resources are available for loan. In addition to books, there are newspapers, magazines, periodical and careers documentation.
The library is open every day at lunch break.
Every day, generally at lunch break, pupils can join in some competitive events (table tennis, football table, badminton, football…)
The children can thus show their talent in various areas and learn essential values such as respect and personal accomplishment. All tournaments are managed by our PE teacher Mr Maillochon. Teachers are welcome to participate. The finalists get vouchers to be used at the tuck shop.
The Institute offen recruits some educative staff.
